Terms of Service

Effective June 20, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Trestle OS (the “Service”), operated by Trestle OS (“Trestle OS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Trestle OS is a financial operations platform that provides invoicing, transaction tracking, bank-account connectivity, budgeting, contractor/personnel management, contract generation, and related tools for founders and small teams. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.

3. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

  • The Service is offered on a subscription basis. Paid plans and pricing are described at checkout and may include a free trial period.
  • By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor (Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until you cancel.
  • Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Fees are exclusive of taxes, which you are responsible for. Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
  • If a payment fails or a trial expires without an active subscription, access to paid features may be suspended or downgraded.

4. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties including Plaid (bank-account connectivity), Stripe(payments), and email providers. Your use of those integrations is also subject to the respective third party’s terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services. When you connect a financial account through Plaid, you authorize us and Plaid to access and use that information as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose;
  • access another organization’s data or attempt to bypass security or access controls;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service or its infrastructure;
  • upload malicious code or content that infringes the rights of others;
  • resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission.

6. Your data and content

You retain ownership of the data and content you submit to the Service (“Your Data”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit Your Data solely to provide and improve the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit Your Data and that it complies with applicable law.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Trestle OS and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Trestle OS is a software tool and does not provide accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. You are solely responsible for your financial and tax decisions and should consult a qualified professional. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any calculations or AI-generated outputs will be accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trestle OS will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trestle OS from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, Your Data, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to comply with law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (for example, by email or in-app). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
